CivicDataForge › LEIE Exclusion Screening

LEIE Exclusion Screening API — the monthly OIG check, by NPI and name

Every healthcare employer, staffing firm, and payer is required to screen staff and vendors against the HHS-OIG List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) — and to re-check it monthly. Hiring or paying an excluded party can mean civil monetary penalties. This tool does both sides of that job, priced per record instead of a per-seat license.

Two modes

Screen a list — pass the people/entities you employ or pay; get back any that appear on the exclusion list, matched by NPI (exact) or name (fuzzy). Filter the list — pull exclusions by state, specialty, or OIG exclusion-authority code for analysis or list-building.

Source & cadence

Federal public dataset (oig.hhs.gov), downloaded fresh each run and refreshed by OIG monthly — a scheduled monthly run keeps your screening current. Public data, accessed logged-out.
